In a recent interview Peter shared his lifelong passion for serving his community and outlined his path that landed him on a career helping to build lasting homes and enduring communities.
“I guess, if I went way back in time… Why did I get into real estate development? At the core of it I see housing and food as the needs of humans. Ironically, I grew up on a farm, so for the first part of my life we created the food, and now, in the second part of my life I'm creating shelter, and I just feel it's extremely important to create shelter that resonates with people, makes them feel whole, happy, satisfied.
“More recently, as part of our projects or developments, we've been developing some affordable housing which also resonates with me. Again I grew up in a small town, and my mother was active in creating a small housing development where the seniors in town had a place where they could downsize, and stay within their town where their friends are, where their doctors are, and family is. It stayed with me, and now I feel that's part of what I do, and it feels really good.”
Peter left a legacy that continues in every community and home he helped to build, and with much appreciation and respect, our team—his team—will continue that legacy.
