Jack Dawley
CEO
“As my first boss and mentor once told me, ‘It all starts with the land.’ Having personally walked over 4000 acres of land over the course of my career, the notion of understanding each parcel’s inherent character and personality fuels a passion to carefully select, design and develop exceptional properties.”
John C. Dawley, “Jack”, of Concord and Cataumet, MA, is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Northland Residential Corporation. He started his career with Northland in 1985 and over the past 35 years has been involved in well over $1.B of real estate investments. With Jack at the helm, Northland Residential has solidified its reputation for building beautiful homes and developing desirable communities. He has been involved in the creation of over 1500 units, comprised of dramatic multi-acre waterfront home sites, luxurious suburban townhomes and multi-family rental communities.
Jack’s New England roots are embedded in the foundation of all he and the Northland team have built. He was raised with his brother and two sisters in East Dennis, where his parents owned and operated a number of successful local businesses. He is a graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics in 1984, Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Master of Science in Real Estate in 1992 and Babson College with a Master of Business Administration in 1994.
Jack maintains a significant presence in his local communities, presently serving as a Director of the Cape Cod Five Savings Bank and Cape Cod Community Health Center. Jack has been involved in varying capacities with the National Association of Realtors, the Fessenden and Holderness Schools and has been a Licensed Real Estate Broker since 1985. He served as the President of the Builders Association of Greater Boston – 2012, Treasurer – 2010-2011 and Secretary – 2008-2010, where he and his firm’s work have been recognized both on a National and Local level.
Jack resides in Concord and on Hospital Cove in Cataumet with his wife Sarah. His two adult daughters, Liza and Anna, presently live in the Midwest. Among his greatest joys is sailing the sometimes tranquil (but more often exhilarating) waters of Buzzards Bay or ripping down Rumble on a powder day.

“The one thing that stands out for me is the comradery with all my colleagues. I’m happy to be part of such an incredible team of good people that genuinely like each other. That makes the work we do even more enjoyable.”
Sean oversees all of Northland’s construction activities; from the initial “shovel in the ground” to post occupancy service and warranty matters. He’s spent 35 years in the construction field, and 20 of those years have been with Northland. His approach is “hands on” hence his days are spent on-site, interacting with his team, as well as subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners. He maintains a keen interest in all aspects of building technologies and finds that his daily activities are a constant source of information. He is respected as a disciplined leader and as someone who strives to “do the right thing” for everyone he interacts with.

“I enjoy the work, especially the process of framing. Working on the front end from foundation to plaster, watching the roof rafters go up and seeing it all come together. It’s very enjoyable work because we all get along, we’re like brothers and sisters here.”
Luis has spent his entire career in the field of construction. In his younger years he worked with his father remodeling, and then for a small company building new homes. He subsequently spent 20 years working for a large firm, which built housing developments. Since associating with Northland, he has been an integral member of the on-site construction team. He holds a Construction Supervisor’s license and oversees every aspect of unit construction. He’s known for his work ethic, his genuine love for what he does and his rapport with homeowners. Luis credits his ability to focus and his steady approach to his work as byproducts of his downtime spent as a sport fisherman and an archer.

“My favorite part of working with Northland is the interaction with my fellow coworkers. I work at a corporate office, so whenever I can get out to the sites to visit, I really enjoy catching up with them and seeing what’s going on in their lives. It’s nice to interact with the construction team and the sales team, both on a professional and a personal level. You could say it’s like we’re a tight knit family.”
Cindy has been associated with Northland since 1993, when she was hired as a part-time Corporate Accounts Payable Clerk. When Northland Residential was established as a separate entity in 1997, Cindy opted for a full-time position working for the CFO. Arthur Ramey
Construction Manager
“Northland is better than any place I’ve worked. In previous jobs I’ve had, there was a lot of chaos — I’d be hunting information and stuff that would take away from the task at hand. Northland has a great system that allows me to focus my attention on the work I do best. That makes everything run smoother and I find that makes my work more enjoyable.”
Arthur graduated with honors from the Construction Technology Program at Blue Hills Regional Technical School. He subsequently attained his Construction Supervisor’s license and has spent the last 35 years in this field. As a Construction Manager for Northland, he’s tasked with taking homes from the plaster stage to completion. His priority is ensuring that homes are delivered to the Company’s standards; accordingly, he is always focused on Quality Control. His initiative, integrity and “no-nonsense” approach characterize his work and promote trust amongst homeowners and the respect of subcontractors and home inspectors.

Joanne Rocheleau
Home Design Manager
“One aspect I’ve really loved about Northland is how they allow you to personalize your home more than a lot of builders typically do. From choosing their interior finishes to the plumbing, the tile cabinets, colors, etc. —We offer our clients guidance choosing their styles and visualizing what will work for them. It often feels like we’re co-creating their new home together, and I love being the person who gets to guide them through this process.”
As the daughter of a highly respected residential architect, Joanne spent numerous Saturdays walking homes under construction. Through these experiences she gained an appreciation for good design, learned construction basics, and developed an “eye” for the finish details that readily distinguish quality. This background, combined with her creative talents, has fueled her 20-year career in Home Design. Today, her role entails extensive collaboration with Buyers and the Construction teams throughout the “build” process, which concludes with the final reveal. She also oversees the development of the selections program for each new neighborhood, and she is instrumental in designing and outfitting our award-winning model homes.
