Seven Springs

Live, work, play in a flourishing community

Ten years ago, Burlington, Massachusetts was a place to drive for work. Today, it is a booming community where people stay to live and play and quite frankly, a really cool place to live. Northland was at the forefront of this transition. We had the opportunity to work with National Development to re-purpose a 70 acre parcel of land (formerly a gravel pit) into a vibrant new address.

Maximizing community from the ground up

Approximately 40 acres of the site has been developed into a residential community consisting of 425 residential units (94 condominiums and 331 apartments). The remaining 30 acres of the site have been preserved as open space with a bicycle path, walking trails, wooded areas, and several water features.

A mix of luxury rental apartments and owner-occupied townhouses

The communities share a central clubhouse that is a dynamic gathering place for recreation, exercise and socializing. In addition to the Lodge buildings, townhomes and Courtyard homes at Seven Springs, Northland also introduced attached row homes to the neighborhood.

The row home vertical floorplan mimics the style of homes traditionally found in older urban settings. They offer more privacy and outdoor space than a typical City dwellings, but do not require maintenance of a typical yard. These homes were complemented by a diamond shaped courtyard with integrated benches to define the space behind each unit and provide seating for year-round entertaining.
