Dorset Park

A thriving hub on the South Shore

On the former site of the Weymouth Naval Station sits an amazing hub of residential, commercial and retail spaces.

When complete, Union Point will include miles and miles of trails, an on-site grocery store, a baseball field, dog park, childrens’ park and play host to community activities, concerts and sporting events. We saw the potential in this unique spot and acquired a parcel of land to accommodate 26 homes. To make our new section of the area extra special, we sought an award-winning architect who was nationally recognized for traditional neighborhood development.

A modern and efficient kitchen layout opens to a dining room with views of conservation land from the great room windows.

Award-winning neighborhood: Best in Living

Recognized by both the National Association of Home Builders as a Best in Living Award winner and Professional Builder Magazine, Dorset Park offered three styles of homes, each with a detached garage suited for both downsizers and young families.

Like all of Northland’s neighborhoods, our site plan was key to our success. What differentiates our neighborhood from others is that every home captures panoramic views of adjacent conservation land. We’ve also left our signature by creating a charming pocket park for our residents. The park is distinguished with a tree that will reach a height of 100 feet, thus providing a beautiful canopy of shade. A series of 30 maple trees will provide brilliant, seasonal color during the Fall and flowering crabapple trees positioned at both ends of the park will provide Spring color. A walkway through the middle of the park connects the neighborhood to the larger community. Granite benches engraved with the Dorset Park logo invite neighbors to pause and enjoy the natural beauty surrounding them. The addition of this park resulted in a huge benefit to our special community.

Front porches encourage ready interaction with neighbors, while courtyard spaces in the back provide a natural privacy wall.

Traditional exteriors, classically contemporary interiors

Picture yourself in a simple but modern space, filled with natural light and every conceivable convenience. Every season brings you incredible views of the abutting conservation land. Your open floor plan ensures you’ll get the best seat in the house.
