Greetings and Happy 2020!

Wolcott Woods Update

Here at Northland Residential last year was full of planning and preparing for our next real estate projects.  We’re ready for 2020 and have lots of exciting updates to share with you about one of our next developments to be introduced to the market:  Wolcott Woods in Milton, MA.

The final touches are underway to the renderings and floor plans for the 52 new construction townhomes at Wolcott Woods. We’ve also made significant progress on the renovation plans for the “Devens House”, which is one of three existing structures on the property that will be renovated and reintroduced to the market.

If you’ve ever restored or thought about restoring or purchasing a historic home (and if you live in the area there is a good chance the answer is yes), then you know that bringing a home into its next phase doesn’t mean you get rid of all of the old.  This same principle holds true for the Devens House.  Our plans call for maintaining two original staircases in the home, one formal and one located off of the kitchen.  The ocular window that washes the front foyer with natural light will be restored to its former glory.  A paneled library will be restored and will feature sconces that once graced the dining room. A cozy study with an adjacent bath will be updated and plans also call for installing a “Murphy” bed for comfortably accommodating guests.   Bathrooms will be “gutted” and reworked with new fixtures evoking the classic look of the 1940s.  An outdated kitchen will be renovated and expanded to include a sitting area, mudroom and the addition of a large island for a more comfortable and streamlined living space. The original flooring will be refinished and woodwork and trim will be replicated throughout the home.  The pallete of colors slated for the interior features soft whites, pale gray and “pops” of this year’s latest color: Classic Blue.

Stay tuned for additional details. In the meantime, we invite you to join our interest list by emailing info@northlandresidential.com.  You can also see examples of some of our past work in properties like Woodlands at Belmont Hill, where we carefully weaved new construction townhomes into the fabric of the existing historic buildings.
